Planning a trip to Jim Corbett National Park? Choosing the right accommodation can make or break your experience. In this article, we’ll dive deep into a review of the Taj Corbett Resort & Spa, using a comprehensive scoring system to help you decide if it’s the perfect fit for your needs and budget. Based on a detailed assessment by us, we’ll explore the resort’s location, rooms, tariffs, food, activities, and overall stay, providing you with an informative and unbiased perspective.

Location, Location, Location: A Perfect Start (20/20)
The Taj Corbett Resort & Spa boasts a strategically advantageous location in the Dhikuli area, just a short 3-4 kilometers from Ramnagar. Its proximity to the Kosi River (though seasonal and accessed at your own risk) and key tiger sighting zones (6-7 km away) makes it an ideal base for exploring the national park. We have awarded it a perfect score of 20 out of 20 for its location, highlighting its convenience and accessibility.
Room Quality and Comfort: High Standards Maintained (18/20)
The resort offers a variety of room categories, from deluxe rooms to cottages and suites, including a unique quadruple room option. While amenities and room sizes vary across categories, the overall quality remains consistently high. Guests can expect comfortable rooms with good views and well-designed layouts. Basic amenities are readily available, contributing to a pleasant stay. We gave the rooms a solid 18 out of 20.
Tariff Talk: A Pricey Proposition (16/20)

Here’s where things get a little tricky. The base category room starts at a hefty ₹24,000 (inclusive of taxes and breakfast for a couple), while suites can reach up to ₹80,000 with breakfast only. We felt the tariffs were on the steeper side, especially when compared to equivalent properties like the Marriott (approximately 20% cheaper) and Radisson (potentially 50% cheaper). While not a direct apple-to-apple comparison, the price point raises questions about value for money. We scored the tariff at 16 out of 20.
Foodie Paradise: A Culinary Delight (20/20)
If you’re a food lover, the Taj Corbett Resort & Spa won’t disappoint. The resort offers a wide range of cuisines, from Indian to Continental to local specialties. The staff is also incredibly accommodating, willing to prepare dishes not readily available on the buffet. The quality, hygiene, and presentation of the food were all top-notch, earning a perfect score of 20 out of 20.
Activities and Overall Stay: Room for Improvement (16/20)
While the resort offers activities like high tea by the riverside, many are chargeable, including archery. This contrasts with other five-star experiences where such activities are often included in the room tariff. We felt that including these activities could enhance the overall guest experience.
- Positives: Pool, gym, spa, and kids’ play area are all standard and well-maintained.
- Unique Feature: The resort offers electric vehicle charging points, a rarity in the area.
Despite these positives, the overall stay lacked a “wow” factor. Considering these factors, we awarded the activities and overall stay a score of 16 out of 20.

The Verdict: A Solid Choice, But Consider the Cost
The Taj Corbett Resort & Spa received an overall score of 92 out of 100 on the PMFT 100 scale, indicating a high-quality experience. However, the high tariffs are a significant factor to consider.
- USP (Unique Selling Proposition): The resort stands out for its lush greenery, a welcome contrast to other properties in the area. Guests can even request to take home fresh mangoes from the resort’s trees as a souvenir.

Final Thoughts: Is It Right for You?
The Taj Corbett Resort & Spa offers a comfortable and luxurious stay with excellent food and a prime location. However, the high price point might make it less appealing for budget-conscious travelers. If you’re willing to splurge for a premium experience and value lush surroundings, this resort could be a great choice.
